Chillbruh’s Security and IT RSS Feed
Last Updated 7/28/2025
I recently compiled all a long list of blogs and news sources focused on cybersecurity and home labbing, and used it to form my current RSS feed. It contains:
- News on:
- Security
- Digital Forensics
- Threat Intelligence
- Blogs on:
- Security
- Red Teaming (Offensive)
- Malware Analysis & Reverse Engineering
- General Security
- Digital Forensics & Incident Response
- IT
- General IT
- Home Labs
- Security
You can find this feed in the below code block, written in XML according to OPML formatting. This RSS feed is subject to change over time, and I will need to update and modify portions as there are issues still present.
How Can I Use It?
You’ll want to first obtain an RSS reader for this file. There are many options online, and you can choose them based on features, styles, or simplicity. On some Linux distributions, you may already have an RSS reader installed.
I used to use Fluent Reader, however it had reoccurring issues where it was unable to access some of the rss feeds from certain blogs and news sites. I now use yarr (yet another rss reader), and it works pretty well for me.
Personally, I prefer having a local RSS reader, instead of having to access a (often paid) RSS reader hosted by someone else. Part of the reason for going towards RSS feeds is to gain more privacy and autonomy over my news. Besides, what fun is having a homelab if I don’t add an extra RSS service onto it sometime in the future?
This isn’t to say I’m telling you what you have to do. If you’d prefer having a separate service or site for RSS feeds, more power to you! You should find what works for you, and what matters to you. Don’t like it? You can always switch. Love it? Keep it! Getting tired of it? Find greener pastures.
Getting back on track, once you’ve obtained your RSS reader, here’s what you’ll do:
- Copy the entire code block under the OPML section, and paste it into a new file.
- Save the file with whatever name you want, and end it with the extension
.opml
.- Example:
chillbruhs-rss-feeds.opml
- Example:
- Open your reader, and look for an option to “Import” the OPML file.
- Select your newly created OPML file, open, and save.
- You should now see your RSS reader application populate with a bunch of new sections and RSS feeds.
If there’s something you don’t like about the feeds, or you want to add more feeds, you can now easily modify as needed through your RSS reader. Like I said, my RSS feed is not perfect, and I will likely update it in the future. You can come back in the future and check to see if I’ve published a new OPML feed, and I’ll try to note the date of changes to this page (saying this out loud so future Jesse remembers).
Have fun!
